2. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Private Transcriber AI ("the Application"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Application.

3. Privacy & Local Data Processing

Private Transcriber AI is designed as a "local-first" application:

• All audio processing and transcription happens directly on your device.
• Your audio files and transcribed text are never uploaded to our servers or any third-party services.
• We do not collect, store, or have access to your audio or transcription content.

4. License & Intellectual Property

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Application for your personal or internal business purposes in accordance with these Terms.

The Application, including its code, design, and branding, remains the intellectual property of Craftby. The Application utilizes open-source machine learning models, which are subject to their respective licenses.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

The Application offers both free and paid tiers. Paid features are available through monthly subscriptions or one-time lifetime purchases.

All payments are processed by our Merchant of Record partner. By making a purchase, you also agree to their terms of service. Refund policies are handled in accordance with the payment provider's policies and applicable consumer protection laws.

We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Existing subscriptions will continue at their current rate until renewal.

6. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Application to:

• Transcribe content you do not have the right to record or process.
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
• Infringe on the rights of others, including privacy and intellectual property rights.
• Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the Application.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Application is provided "AS IS", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Application will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that it will meet your specific requirements.

Transcription accuracy depends on various factors including audio quality, background noise, accents, and language complexity. The Application should not be used as the sole source for critical or legal transcriptions.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Craftby shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, resulting from your use of or inability to use the Application.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Application at any time by uninstalling it from your device.

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your license if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Application and delete any copies.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Georgia. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Application shall be resolved in the courts of Georgia.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
